Rose is so proud to be the sign language interpreting provider for Denver Comic Con 2013! While you’re at the con, keep an eye out for our crack team of interpreters. Each interpreter you’ll see is highly skilled and experienced, and also happens to be proud of her or his geek, nerd and super-fan status.
If you need a break from all of the craziness, here are our recommendations in our fair city:
The 1 Up
The 1 Up is one of the new breed of Bar-cades. Near the convention center, The 1 Up features classic arcade games, pin ball and skee ball at classic prices. Their menu is heavy duty, with items like shells and cheese to serve 16.
Casa Bonita
Casa Bonita is real and it’s everything Eric Cartman from South Park ever dreamed of. It’s one of the best episodes for good reason. On any given night you’ll see a gorilla, cliff divers, pirates and more! Dinner is included in the price of admission, but save room for the sopapillas.
Lakeside Amusement Park
On the West side of Denver, you’ll find Lakeside Amusement Park.Since 1908, Denver has lined up for rides like The Cyclone (wooden coaster built in 1940!). An unlimited ride pass will only cost $22.00, and individual rides will run between .50-$3.00.
The Pedal Hopper
The Pedal Hopper is a rolling party. For groups up to 16 people (over the age of 21), you can pedal your way to around 3 different locations on your pub crawl. There’s room for coolers to keep you going between stops, and you can achieve speeds upwards of 10mph!
Geeks Who Drink
Geeks Who Drink is much more than trivia night at your local bar. With GWD, you have a live host (not a TV screen) and topics that go well beyond the last NFL draft. If you don’t have a team, don’t worry; singles are often absorbed by incomplete teams.
Enjoy yourselves! LLLAP!
